If you believe it’s hard to get clients, you’ll find it hard to get clients.
Let’s pull back the curtain a little bit.
In the spring, I ran a sales cycle selling business coaching to help new entrepreneurs get more clients.
It was my first time selling coaching, and guess what? My confidence was not high. I had a goal of signing 6 coaching clients.
Instead of working on my beliefs (“It’s hard to find coaching clients,” “What if my coaching isn’t good enough?”), I kept focusing on tactics.
I signed up one fabulous, amazing client for my coaching program. It’s truly a privilege to work with her.
And with my baby’s arrival imminent, I decided to focus on selling copywriting.
I KNOW I’m a great copywriter. I KNOW my copywriting services are super valuable. And so, the results followed my beliefs: my last month before maternity leave was my highest grossing month ever at just about $10K.
Now, what if instead I had focused on creating the confidence about my coaching ability?
Because here are the facts: I’ve been studying online business and coaching techniques nearly every day for 3 years.
I know how to get clients, and I know how to coach. If I had focused on creating the beliefs that would drive the results I wanted, I would have created those results. No question.
So here’s my question for you: what do YOU believe about business, your ability to get clients, and your capacity for making money?
If you’re not sure what you believe, just look at what you’ve created. The business you have (or don’t have), the number of clients in your roster, and the money in your bank account are a direct reflection of what you believe.
Want something different? Believe in it first.
